Music Adventure Game
Every evening, the setting of the sun heralds a curse over this world. The rise of the Nightrider. His
eternal bond with the darkness tyrannises the villages, hunting down whomever dares to disturb the peace
of his Night. Only an unlikely triad of fate could threaten his reign of silence: the spell of a
suffering heart, a sword called Echo and the forgotten Arts of Surfing the Sound…

The Night’s Curse
Very little is known about the origin of the Night’s curse, but much is told about the Nightrider. Whispered tales abound: how he bewitches creatures into colourless shadow form; why he jealously keeps all magic for himself; how he likes maims children but never kills them. These stories embolden the shadowcatchers to use their fairy-like soundsurfers to great effect…
Evil Love
There is a curious tale told of the origins of the Nightrider: it is said that in ancient times, when the elementals still wandered the earth, a group of six human lovers competed for the love of the Night. The rest of this tale is bitterly known, as one of the lovers not only must have won the evil contest but cursed his beloved and silenced the Listeners forever.
Song Rebels
Even the most powerful sound witch cannot hope to face the Night alone, much less a broken one who lacks one of these pesky soundsurfers. Also, mere words alone will not suffice to build up true friendship. It is only through understanding the past and listening to people’s dreams and feelings that your heart melodies will find a way from their ears into their very hearts…
The Villages
Every curse has its own set of rules. Here human life is restricted to light. That’s why during the day no one leaves the Halfday Circles that surround the three villages. And at night the villagers crowd around the Shards - obelisk-type monuments whose starlight the Nightrider cannot approach. Thus, they follow the shadowcatchers and live imprisoned by their own fears…
The Past
Travel into the past, when neither the dry pastures of the village of the Woollies, the moldy wheat fields of the Weedies nor the snow melting furnaces of the Woodies existed. When all creatures still had the power of word and music. When the elements themselves sometimes took on ephemeral form to roam the wilderness with songs so pure, the Listeners worshipped their music as divine…
The Listeners
We call them the ruins of Erin, Akath and Indalore but in truth no dwelling was ever built by the Listeners. They lived as nomads, sleeping in tents and moving on as it pleased them. Not one minute of proper silence could they bear, but they were as rich as kings! Never a night of hunger! These people had music for everything and how they would laugh at what we praise as magic today…
